The President of the Republic of South Korea, Park Geun-hye, and her official delegation will arrive today at 6 p.m. local time (2300 GMT) as part of the official visit she pays to Peru on her first presidential trip to Latin America.
President Park will be welcomed by Peru’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ana Maria Sanchez upon her arrival at Callao-based Air Group 8 complex.
The welcoming ceremony will see the participation of State Ceremonial and Protocol Director Alberto Galvez de Rivero, and 2nd Air Wing General Commander, FAP Major General Cesar Romero Diaz.
Also attending the ceremony will be Peruvian Ambassador to Korea, Jaime Pomareda; Director General of Asia and Oceania, Raul Patiño and; Director General of Economic Affairs, Marcela Lopez Bravo.
In attendance on the Korean side will be Ambassador to Peru Jang Keun-ho and representatives from the Korean community in Lima.
The Congress of the Republic of Peru will welcome the South Korean leader on Monday.
While in there, she will hold a meeting with Congress President Ana Maria Solorzano.
The meeting will be joined by Vice Presidents of the Peruvian Congress, Modesto Julca, Norman Lewis and Esther Capuñay.
Park Geun-hye will be awarded the Medal of Honor in the Grade of Grand Cross by the Legislative Branch.
