An advertisement of a salsa made with Peruvian peppers will be aired this Sunday during the Super Bowl game, allowing Peru to be promoted as a provider of premium products.

According to Peru’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Magali Silva, the one-minute commercial was produced by HEB Grocery Company, with which the Commercial Office of Peru (OCEX) in Los Angeles has been working for several years to develop new business opportunities and promote exports of Peruvian products.

“This is an extraordinary promotion opportunity for Peru, which will strengthen its image and position as a provider of high-quality products,” Silva pointed out.


The ad features an H-E-B worker going from the Rio Grande Valley to Peru in search of the best products.

Once in the Andean nation, he [the worker] runs into a farmer who tells him what way to take in his quest to find the most unique products from all over the world.

It should be noted the Super Bowl Sunday is the best time for brands and companies to go all out with their advertising campaigns as it brings in the most TV viewers of any broadcast throughout the year.
