A delegation from the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic met with Peruvian Deputy Foreign Minister Fernando Rojas on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting in Lima was attended by senior officials from Peru's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the director for Africa and Middle East affairs, in addition to the Sahrawi Ambassador in mission Ali Salem Sid Ezzain.
According to the Sahara Press Service, the two sides also discussed the latest developments on the question of Western Sahara and the UN's settlement plan.
Following this meeting, the Sahrawi delegation met with the Secretary General of Perú Posible (Possible Peru) party, Luis Thais Diaz.
The visiting delegation, led by Delegate Minister in Charge of Latin America Hash Ahmed, arrived in the Peruvian capital late Monday, carrying a letter from Sahrawi President Mohamed Abdelaziz to his counterpart of Peru, Ollanta Humala.
