Peru's President Ollanta Humala accepted the resignation of his Prime Minister Rene Cornejo Diaz, according to an official announcement issued today.
The outgoing minister handed in his resignation less than five months after he was appointed to the post by President Ollanta Humala.

Cornejo, who was previously the country's Housing Minister, is the fifth prime minister to hold the post since President Humala took office in 2011.

According to the Presidential Press Secretary, Labor and Employment Promotion Minister Ana Jara will replace Cornejo.
