Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Friday affirmed Pope Francis' mid-January 2018 visit to Peru will bring the South American country together.
The Head of State thus confirmed the Supreme Pontiff's visit following a
private audience during which he personally extended the invitation to His Holiness.
"His arrival will bring us together and open up paths for hope," he tweeted.
The Head of the Catholic Church is due to arrive in the Andean nation on
January 18-21 for a tour including Puerto Maldonado, Trujillo and Lima cities.
Mr. Kuczynski arrived at the Holy See joined by his wife Nancy Lange.
