Peru's President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski met Secretary-General of Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Angel Gurria in Paris, France.

The gathering took place following his participation at the International Economic Forum on Latin America and the Caribbean, held by the intergovernmental organization.

Ministers Ricardo Luna (Foreign Affairs), Alfredo Thorne (Economy and Finance), and Cayetana Aljovin (Development and Social Inclusion) were present at the meeting, too.

During his speech at the forum, Peru's top official claimed the Inca nation believes in economic growth based on openness and respect for the environment.

Therefore, he called for supporting environmentally responsible economic policies.

It is worth saying Peru seeks to become a full member of the OECD, regarded as the club of developed countries.
