French President Emmanuel Macron will pay a visit to Peru this September joined by a business delegation seeking to invest in the Inca nation, Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski informed Friday.

"We just closed a meeting with French businesspersons interested in investing in Peru, many of whom will come to the country in September accompanying the French President at my invitation," he affirmed.

Announcement came following a work meeting with more than 60 members of the Movement of French Enterprises (Medef), held at Cercle de I'Union Interalliee.

Joining the statesman were Peru's Ministers Alfredo Thorne (Economy and Finance) and Ricardo Luna (Foreign Affairs), as well as Ambassador to France Alvaro de Soto and International Affairs Advisor Roberto Rodriguez.

On the other hand, Medef representative Gerard Wolf highlighted Mr. Kuczynski's presence in France. The executive also anticipated the visiting business mission will include investors who will offer sustainable and environmental management solutions.

"We will form a delegation with the President [Emmanuel Macron]. French companies have sustainable solutions for all environmental development matters […]," he said.

Likewise, Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) Head Mario Mongilardi —who was also part of the dialogue— noted the meeting "fills Peru with optimism."

In this sense, the CCL head vowed the Chamber's support to guarantee the [French] entrepreneurs are provided "everything they need from our country."
