President Humala receives credentials from ambassadors

Presidente Ollanta Humala recibió las cartas credenciales de los nuevos embajadores de Australia, Panamá, Francia y Guatemala

Peruvian President Ollanta Humala today received credentials from new ambassadors of Australia, Panama, France and Guatemala with whom he held separate meetings.

The ceremony took place at the Golden Room of the Government Palace, and was joined by the Peruvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gonzalo Gutierrez.

The four envoys that presented their credentials were Australia's Nicholas Macccaffrey, Guatemala's Walter Zepeda, Fabrice Mauries of France and Panama’s Nicole Wolcovinsky.

Following the credential handing ceremony, the Peruvian leader held private meetings with each diplomat.

The presentation of letters began after 8:00 local time (13:00 GMT) with the arrival of the illustrious visitors, who were welcome with high honors at the Government’s headquarters.
