Pisco Sour Festival takes place in Sullana, northern Peru

The province of Sullana in Piura region will host the third Pisco Sour Festival today as part of the many celebrations being held throughout the country on National Pisco Sour Day and to promote its consumption, production and export.

The event, scheduled for 16:00 local time (21:00 GMT), will feature local bartenders who will compete to find out whose Pisco Sour is the best.

Every detail will be taken into consideration and the winners will be announced and presented to several important figures and the public in general. 

Attendees will be able to enjoy a bunch of performances such as that of the folklore ensemble “Amauta.”

Northern Peru’s traditional dishes and different pisco-based drinks will be served while in there.

Every year on the first Saturday of February, Peruvians come together to celebrate Peru’s flagship cocktail – The Pisco Sour. Festivals and parties are held all over the country to celebrate the national drink.
