The Peruvian four-wheel motorbike rider Elías Alonso, aged 17, today won the Inca Challenge 2014, as he completed the race in 14 hours, 10 minutes and 50 seconds.

Elias finished first in the standings, almost 2 minutes ahead of second placed Chilean Victor Gallegos, who took 4:10.45.

Paraguayan Nelson Sanabria finished in third place, clocking 15 hours, 24 minutes and 59 seconds. 

The Peruvian took the lead in two special stages of today, touring a total of 257 miles in the demanding and complicated Ica desert. 

The young pilot will be rewarded tonight during a closing ceremony to be held on El Chaco boulevard.
