Showing amazing academic performances, two Peruvian high-school students won bronze medals at the 9th Romanian Master of Mathematics (RMM 2017) tournament.

Thus, outstanding Peruvian participants Daniel Rojas Cruz (Huanuco region) and Diego Lazaro Cusihuaman (Lima) were recognized in Europe.

Likewise, national student Daniel Benavides Quispialaya (Junin) received an honorable mention on the occasion.

It must be noted national pupils' participation in the event was possible thanks to efforts by Peru's Education Ministry (Minedu).

Minedu later congratulated winners on their efforts and, above all, on their competitive spirit which sets an excellent example for national scholars.

The event featured 111 contestants from 17 countries including Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, France, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, South Korea, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Said international contest took place in Bucharest on February 22-27, 2017.
