Destino publisher said that 519 novels were presented in this Casavella award’s third edition and announced that it will publish the winning novel on September 11.

According to the juror and writer Jamie Martinez, "If Vargas Llosa were 30 years old and his origins were different but with the same narrative power, he could have signed this book. ‘La ciudad y los perros 2.0'."

"Bioy" stars Humberto Rosendo, agent of Peruvian Army’s Intelligence Service, who infiltrates a bloodroot gang of Lima led by "Bioy", an enigmatic man that should lead him to the drug trafficker Natalio Correa.
