Seven Peruvian athletes got their tickets to the 2015 Pan American Games to be held in Toronto.
This was possible due to their successful participation at the Pan American Wrestling Championship 2015, held in Santiago (Chile) on April 24 - 26.
Among the female wrestlers, who managed to qualify for the mega sports event were: Thalia Mallqui and Yanet Sovero (58kg), who obtained bronze medals.
Jessica Olivares (63kg) got the fifth place. Nonetheless, she also managed to be included in the team, which will represent Peru abroad.
Regarding Greco-Roman wrestling, Mario Bernardo Molina Cortez (66kg) claimed a bronze medal and, therefore, his corresponding pass to Toronto.
He will be joined by compatriots: Abel Herrera (65kg), whose outstanding participation led him to win a silver medal; bronze-medal winner, Pool Ambrocio (86kg), and Pablo Benitez Gomez (55kg), who reached the 5th position.
