Peru's national volleyball squad defeated Chinese Taipei by a (3-1) score in the fourth match played in the framework of the Girls’ U-18 World Championship currently underway in Lima, Peru.

At the beginning of the game, the Taiwanese team's ambition enabled it to win the first set; 25-22.

Nonetheless, the Peruvian team managed to focus and to claim the second (25-21); third (25-15); and finally the fourth (25-23) sets.

Among the stars of the match were Peruvian players Lesly Leiva and Lucia Magallanes, whose talented moves enabled them to display the best performances.

Throughout the tournament, Peru has won three games and only lost one. It beat Egypt and Mexico, but could not take South Korea down.

Thus, the Peruvians qualified for the next stage and will, therefore, face Poland.
