Peruvian State condemns terrorist attack in Cairo, Egypt

The Peruvian government has strongly condemned the terrorist acts conducted in Cairo city (Egypt) last Monday, which took the life of the country’s Attorney General Hisham Barakat and left other seven people injured, a press release issued by the Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry read.

“The Peruvian government expresses its most energetic condemnation of the terrorist attack conducted in Cairo city on Monday June 29 […] at the same time it expresses its deepest condolences to the relatives of the person, who became the fatal victim, as well as to the government of Egypt,” the Chancellery stated.

Likewise, the Peruvian State-issued release expressed its solidarity with the seven people, who got hurt due to the attack considered an “abominable crime.”

“The Peruvian government reaffirms its rejection and repudiation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, for it violates values and principles, which set the basis for a civilized coexistence among nations,” it states.
