The Lima Stock Exchange's General Index rose 0.12% to end at 20,896.84. The blue-chip Selective Index finished 0.49% higher at 30,228.96.
Financial holding company Credicorp Ltd. rose 0.27% to close at $124.20. It owns Peru's largest bank, Banco de Credito.
According to Dow Jones Newswires, precious metals mining company Compania de Minas Buenaventura SAA rose 0.82% to end at $35.80.
Base metals mining company Southern Copper Corp. went the other way, dropping 0.34% to end at $29, on weaker copper prices.
Meanwhile, the sol closed weaker at PEN2.674 per U.S. dollar, compared with PEN2.668 in the previous session.
So far this year, the sol has appreciated 0.85% against the greenback. In the last 12-month period the sol has gained 3.12% against the U.S. dollar.
