In a tight session, Francisco Boza managed to defeat Argentina’s Fernando Borello by a (11-10) score.
“It is a great achievement for my sports career. I had only won a silver medal at the Pan American Games […]. I thank the entire Peruvian people […],” he told RPP TV and radio station.
Boza beat Canadian Curtis Wennberg and Drew Shaw, Colombian Danilo Caro and Dominican Domingo Lorenzo in the semifinals.
