Peruvian rowers Renzo Leon and Camila Valle will participate in the 2016 World Rowing Cup II taking place at Lucerne city's Rotsee Lake on May 27th - 29th, 2016.
Supported by the World Rowing Federation (FISA), the said event will gather over 550 athletes from all over the world.
On this occasion, Leon will compete in the lightweight men's single sculls (LM1x) category, and thus face athletes from Algeria, Azerbaijan, Croatia, France, Hungary and Japan, Netherlands and Norway, among others.
It must be noted Leon captured the second spot at the International Regatta Club Spain, recently held in Mexico, considered Latin America's leading rowing competition.
Camila
Meanwhile, Camila Valle grabbed a bronze medal at the said tournament. The national athlete will make her debut in the adult category during competition.
She will face counterparts from Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Japan, among others.
Both national athletes have already qualified for the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympic Games to be held on August 5th-21st.
