During the visit, President Humala listened to a presentation outlining the vision and mission of Qatar Foundation. He was also introduced to its many initiatives, community development plans, scientific research programmes, and sustainability and environmental conservation solutions.

After the presentation, the head of the Peruvian State was shown an impressive 3D scale model of the current educational and research buildings in addition to future construction projects at Qatar Foundation, zawya.com reported.

Delegation member, Luis Miguel Castilla, Peruvian Economy and Finance Minister, expressed his delight at Qatar Foundation 's vision of unlocking human potential through education, science and community development.

"Our visit to Qatar Foundation today has been an inspirational experience for us with regards to the development of a similar vision in our own country through the engagement of the private sector," said the minister from the South American nation.

He added, "Like Qatar, Peru is rich in natural resources and we have seen here today how a great vision will enable us to expand our own research and development initiatives."
