Peruvian president meets with Queen of Netherlands in Lima

Peruvian President Ollanta Humala received Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands at the Government Palace in Lima on Friday.

Queen Maxima, who arrived in Lima on Wednesday, is paying a three-day official visit to Peru to promote financial inclusion in the Andean country.

The queen visits Peru in her capacity as United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Inclusive Finance for Development.

Earlier today, the queen participated in the “Women Entrepreneurs, Inclusion and the Future” conference where she was a keynote speaker.

On Thursday, she met with representatives of the UN organizations in Peru, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Latin American Development Bank (CAF) and with Dutch Ambassador to Peru, Johan L. van der Werff.
