U.S. cities such as Miami, Las Vegas and country Colombia lead the ranking when it comes to most preferred tourism destinations by Peruvian males, who are older than 30, according to the despegar.com site.
Despegar.com is a website offering cheap flight tickets, accommodations and transport services for travelers.
The ranking indicated trips to Miami increased by approximately 30% if compared to the previous year. Those are followed by the city Las Vegas (25%) and country Colombia (20%).
In the domestic sphere, the main destinations by the analyzed segment are Peruvian cities Cusco, Iquitos and Piura, which registered growths of 35%, 30% and 25%, respectively.
According to Despegar.com manager, Ingrid Carranza the said destinations have become the “preferred” ones among males, since those “are ideal sites to visit with family members, spouse and friends.”
Likewise, males “prefer to make purchases through the mobile app.”
Users plan their trips months in advance (60-90 days). First, they purchase the airline tickets and then book hotels, she added.
