Considered as one of the best lyrical voices worldwide, renowned Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Florez has used his talent and art to create a better world.

In this sense, Florez considers music as an instrument to build a more equitable society.

He is convinced music is able to inspire personal and professional growth. His inclusive social project Symphony for Peru is an example of this.

Such project aims to develop artistically and personally the most vulnerable children and youth from the country through the power of music.

Likewise, Florez always offers great shows. One of them was the closing of UK's BBC Proms 2016: The World's Greatest Classical Music Festival, held last September.

At the site, tenor Florez —wearing an Inca-styled costume— shone while performing British song "Rule Britannia".

Juan Diego Florez was born in Lima, Peru on January 13, 1973. His father, Ruben Florez, was a singer of Peruvian folk and Creole music. His mother, Maria Teresa, encouraged him to persevere in his music studies.

Currently, his musical versatility allows him to sing in any musical genre to the delight of his fans around the world.
