The best dishes from the northwestern coastal Peruvian region of Piura will be available at the Fifth International Gastronomic Fair to be held in the Ecuadorian province of Loja on 28-30 November.

According to Pedro Ortiz, head of Piura’s Regional Directorate of Tourism (Dircetur), the invitation was extended at the request of the Provincial Chamber of Tourism in Loja and the fair’s executive president, Jorge Leonardo Veintimilla.

“The event by now has become a major landmark for the sector’s professionals. This culinary show is divided into four thematic areas: tradition, health, tourism and entrepreneurship education,” Ortiz pointed out.

For further details, potential participants are encouraged to attend a press conference scheduled for October 23 at 10:00. Taking place at ICPNA’s facilities in Lima, the conference will describe in detail how the major gastronomic event will be set up.

This is a significant initiative, because two countries [Peru and Ecuador] have come together to make it happen. Besides, the talks by chefs will provide more information about gastronomy.
