Starting 2016, Peruvian exporting enterprises will have access to Alibaba Group, the world's largest online market and China's main e-business platform, Peru's Exporters Association (ADEX) reported.

Thanks to the agreement signed between ADEX, Peruvian-Chinese Companies Association (Ecolssa) and South American Express, national citizens will be allowed to sell products directly to Chinese consumers.

This initiative aims to promote and implement the sale of several national products on the Chinese market through top online platforms.

"It will be possible via T-MALL, an online store operated by Alibaba Group and other platforms; thanks to them, the Peruvian supply will be displayed and offered to potential customers," the entity highlighted.

"Thus, a new trade era starts for both countries, which will be extremely beneficial for Peruvian exporters [...]," the guild added.

The said association will play a promoting role aimed to strengthen international trade for the benefit of local exporters.

Meanwhile, Ecolssa (E-Commerce Logistic Service Sociedad Anonima) will assist, provide guidance and consolidate products to be shipped to the Asian market.

It must be noted online sales have significantly increased in China over recent years, since its consumers are allowed to buy products from 25 countries, which will include Peru.

Nearly 650 million people make online purchases in China.
