Peruvian envoy meets top authorities in Bahrain

Peru's Deputy Foreign Minister Jose Beraun held talks with Bahrain's Industry and Commerce Minister Hassan Abdullah Fakhroo during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain on Thursday.

During the meeting, Minister Abdullah Fakhroo expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain government's aspirations to boosting bilateral economic cooperation relations especially in the field of industry and trade as well as all other relevant activities.

He also praised the joint efforts aimed at boosting cooperation with the friendly Republic of Peru, and asserted the role of boosting industrial and trade exchanges between both friendly countries and peoples.

In addition, Hassan Abdullah Fakhroo explored with the visiting Peruvian minister potential investment opportunities provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain's government for overseas investors from all parts of the world, easy procedures and huge advantages provided for investment projects particularly in the field of industry and commerce.

On the other hand, Minister Beraun expressed his admiration of the advanced steps made by the kingdom of Bahrain aimed at boosting economic sectors and attracting huge capital investments and industrial and financial ventures which consolidate the Kingdom's financial and economic position.

During his stay in Bahrain, Beraun also met with Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and the need to further bolster cooperation between both countries mainly in the political, economic, investment and social fields.

The Foreign Ministry Undersecretary hailed Peru’s hosting of the third summit of Arab countries and South America.

The Peruvian Deputy Foreign Minister lauded the key reform steps taken by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, stressing the importance of further cementing bilateral links.

Both sides also discussed issues of common interest, Bahrain News Agency reported.
