10:58 | Lima, Mar. 14.

The flavors of Peru's world-renowned cuisine made a splash during the just-held Savour Food Festival in Singapore, the largest gourmet event in the Southeast Asian country.

Representing Peru for the first time at the March 5-9 event was a group of Peruvian chefs led by Daniel Chavez, chef-owner of the successful Ola Cocina del Mar restaurant in Singapore.

In his keynote speech, Chavez enlightened the audience about the variety of seafood dishes and products available in the Andean nation; while his compatriot Antonio Benites talked about the quality of Peruvian chocolate.

Antonio Benites is the chief pastry chef at Joël Robuchon Restaurant, one of Singapore's best eateries.

Over 17,000 people attended Savour 2014, which featured Michelin star chefs and award-winning cuisine from around the world.
