Peruvian surfer, Cristobal de Col, managed to obtain his third Crown at the 12th edition of the traditional Billabong Cabo Blanco Tournament.

The event took place in Northern Peru's Piura from December 26 to January 30.

This triumph enabled De Col to equal the amount of victories obtained by his fellow countryman, Javier Swayne.

German Aguirre, Alvaro Malpartida, Cristobal De Col and Javier Swayne, four former champions at this site, were seeking to repeat the crown, while Martin Jeri and Magoo De la Rosa were intending to reach their first ones.
