Peruvian chef Arturo Melendez Linares was recognized for his successful culinary career in the Asian Giant.

Said recognition took place during a special ceremony held in Peru's Consulate-General in Hong Kong.

Within this framework, Melendez received a gift for his important contribution to the dissemination of Peruvian gastronomy.

The national cook —who had arrived in the Asian city four years ago—  has been giving a notable performance while working at Peruvian restaurants: Chicha and Tokyiolima.

It must be noted Melendez was chosen as Hong Kong's best chef of 2017 by the Foodie cooking magazine's readers.

As is known, Peru is considered one of the top culinary destinations in the world.
