The Embassy of Peru´s Fernando de Szyszlo art gallery is exhibiting the works of the Peruvian international artist, Pedro Fuertes Bolaños.
The exhibit titled 'Provoking Fantasies' features twenty paintings, which represent the latest works of the artist.
“We are very proud to introduce the artworks by Pedro Fuertes into the art circuit of D.C., given its high quality and unique style, which he calls Abstract Surrealism,” said Luis Miguel Castilla, Ambassador of Peru to the U.S.
Fuertes was born in Lima, Peru. He began painting and sketching during his early childhood. His restlessness for arts made him start working at an early age. In 1974, he won his first competition at the college level.
"This is my first individual exhibit in D.C.," said Fuertes, who resides in the US with his wife Dora and their son Joaquin.
In the American city, he is engaged in an intense artistic effort.
“Provoking fantasies” will be open until September 18, 2015.
