Peru-styled roasted pork to become internationalized

Chancho al palo, plato típico de Cieneguilla.

13:49 | Huaral (Lima region), Feb. 22.

Huaral's Hotels, Restaurants and Related Establishments Association (AHORA-Huaral) Chairwoman Rosa Elena Balcazar announced a business guild's delegation will travel to the US State of Texas to promote the city's Chancho al Palo (Huaral-styled Roasted Pork) consumption in the Northern country.

According to Balcazar, this is the first step required to internationalize the flagship dish born in said city, which became the most demanded meal at Mistura International Gastronomic Fair over the previous three years.

Lima's Regional Governor Nelson Chui Mejia will soon specify the dates of the trip, the guild head affirmed.

As is known, Huaral celebrates "Roasted Pork's Day" on the third Sunday of every October.
