Peru trade minister travels to Russia to attend APEC, TPP meetings

Peru's Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, José Luis Silva, travels next week to the city of Vladivostok, Russia, to attend meetings of the Forum of Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement ( TPP).

Minister Silva will participate in the Ministerial Bilateral Meeting, Bilateral Presidential Meeting and APEC Annual Presidential Meeting, as well as TPP Leaders and Ministers Meetings, to be held September 5 to 10.

According to a ministerial resolution published today in El Peruano Official Gazette, the minister will travel from September 2 to 12.  

Peru's Minister of Labour and Employment Promotion, Jose Villena, will be in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur)'s office during Minister Silva's absence.

In addition, next week, Mincetur officials will participate in the fourteenth round of negotiations of TPP, in the city of Leesburg, Virginia, USA.

The event will run from September 6 to 15 between Peru and the current members of the P4 (New Zealand, Singapore, Chile and Brunei Darussalam), the Commonwealth of Australia, United States and Vietnam.
