Peru’s Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion) and the World Bank Group (WBG) have joined efforts to develop workshops aimed at expanding and providing a new dimension to investment promotion activities in the country.
Under the title "Towards proactive promotion focused on productive sectors: Agro-industrial sector," the said meetings will are being held in Piura (Tuesday), Arequipa (Wednesday) and Lima regions.
These activities are comprised in technical cooperation bonds existing between both institutions, which aim to craft a new investment-related program for the benefit of national productive sectors.
In this sense, ProInversion Investor Services Director Araceli Rios highlighted the relevance of relying on proper investment-promotion practices focused on economic activities with great development potential.
WBG officers, regional and local governments officials, as well as private sector's representatives take part in such special sessions.
