Peru’s President kicks off working visit to Germany, Brazil and Mexico

Peruvian President Ollanta Humala left for Germany on Saturday night as part of a working tour that also includes stops in Brazil and Mexico from 12 to 20 July.
While in Berlin, the head of State will attend the Fifth Petersberg Climate Dialogue from 14 to 15 July and will hold talks with German President Joachim Gauck and Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Likewise, Humala is scheduled to visit Brazil to attend the second Working Session of the Sixth BRICS Summit on July 16 in Brasilia.

BRICS is the acronym for an association of five major emerging national economies namely Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. 

Within the framework of this summit, Humala will hold meetings with China's President, Xi Jinping, and the new prime minister of India, Narendra Modi.

Finally, the Peruvian president is to make an official visit to Mexico, where he will meet his Mexican counterpart Enrique Peña Nieto in order to deepen and upgrade bilateral ties to a comprehensive "strategic partnership."
