Peruvian striker Paolo Guerrero is one goal away from Chile's Eduardo Vargas and will aim at becoming the Copa America Chile 2015 tournament top-scorer for the second time.

Argentinean Gabriel Batistuta was the last striker, who obtained the title twice thanks to his goals in the Copa America's 1991 and 1995 editions.

The Peruvian "Predator" could be next one equalizing Batistuta.

Guerrero became the top goal-maker in Argentina 2011 after making 3 goals in the match played by Peru and Venezuela (4-1), which gave the bronze medal to the national team.

"One of my objectives is to score for my team. But the teamwork is the most important thing, although being the top-scorer would be actually essential to me," he added.

During the tournament’s first round, he did not score any goals. Nonetheless, Guerrero re-emerged as a star in the quarter-finals by scoring a hat-trick against Bolivia 3-1.

Peru will face Paraguay on Friday at 08:30 P.M. (local time). The winner will take the Copa America's bronze home.
