The National Agricultural Policy revalues family farming through Haku Wiñay project designed to benefit over 100,000 households located across highland and rainforest regions, Development and Social Inclusion Minister Paola Bustamante Suarez affirmed.

The initiative comprises efforts by the State to reduce poverty and increase incomes of rural families.

Under the framework of "Include to Grow" National Strategy, the project seeks to expand opportunities and incomes for vulnerable people by improving coverage and quality of basic services, as well as access to trade activities.

Haku Wiñay

Haku Wiñay supports productive programs that contribute to a sustained way out of poverty by generating economic autonomy among families living in rural areas, so they can move forward.

It consists of four components: Family production system strengthening, healthy housing improvements, inclusive rural business promotion and financial capacity development.
