Peru's Mauricio Fiol claims nine swim medals in Colombia

The experienced Peruvian swimmer Maurcio Fiol continuous on his path of success by winning nine medals at the Ciudad de Cali Cup, held in Cali, Colombia, it has been reported.
Fiol came off a first place finish in the 100 metre freestyle and earned two golds, while in the 200 metre freestyle he grabbed the silver medal. 

Likewise, in the men’s 100 metre butterfly, he won the race convincingly and secured one gold medal and one silver. 

In an impressive display at Cali's pool, the Peruvian athlete completed his medal haul by battling to second place in the 200 butterfly and 500 butterfly competitions, taking four silvers in total

Thus, the 20-year-old swimmer hailed the high-performance athletes who took part of the competitions, a fact which will help him to achieve better times and to perform better than last year.

“The swimming trials were very hard and competitive. I am working out my training daily to keep building and improving my time,” he said.
