Peruvian economy will continue its acceleration process in the second half of the year and increase by 3.5% between July and December 2015.

The rate is higher than growth reached in the first half of the current year (2.4%), Peru's Economy and Finance Minister Alonso Segura projected.

"Growth in the third quarter is going to be very similar to the one reached in the second quarter; between 3.1 and 3.2%, whereas growth in last three months of the year will climb to 3.9%," he estimated.

Expansion in the second six-month period will be based on boosting public spending made possible thanks to the legislative decree N°1176, which seeks to accelerate public investment, as well as equipment and maintenance expenditure.

Likewise, the economic dynamization will be based on the consolidation of mining production recovery, which increased by 10.1% in the first six months.
