Peru's First Lady, Nadine Heredia, reiterated today the ruling party will continue to support Prime Minister Ana Jara.

Mrs. Heredia is the Chairwoman of the “Partido Nacionalista Gana Peru” party.

Thus, she “rejected” the existence of rift within the party’s core.

“While others are making electioneering noise, the government continues to work because its goal is to serve the people. The President of the Republic and his [Ministerial] Cabinet continue to carry out their duties,” she expressed.

Likewise, she ruled out claims suggesting the Government may have been engaged in issuing orders to track politicians.

The First Lady made those remarks while attending a ceremony to launch the delivery of more than 13,000 kitchen kits at the Villa El Salvador district.

The act is part the Food Supplement Program implemented by the Ministry of Inclusion and Social Development (Midis).

The First Lady was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Social Benefits.
