More than 25,000 visitors are expected to attend the 4th annual edition of the Expo Amazonica Fair, the nation’s largest trade event in the industries of tourism, trade and gastronomy of Peru's Amazonian regions.
The upcoming event is the largest exhibition fair in the Andean nation aimed at promoting the latest products and trends in sectors such as handicraft, gastronomy and tourism of the Amazonian industry.

In statements to Andina news agency, Amazonas' regional governor Jose Arista noted this year’s edition of the trade fair is expected to generate an economic movement of US$ 8.91 million with the scheduled commercial transactions among the event’s exhibitors.

This annual edition of the unique platform will be held at the San Luis de Utcubamba Stadium in the Amazona’s city of Bagua Grande from July 10th to July 13th.

Nearly 300 exhibitors from the Peruvian regions of Loreto, San Martin, Ucayali, Madre de Dios and Amazonas are set to bring together at the four-day event for showcasing their competitive output offer and productive capacity.

“The goal is encouraging private investment and domestic tourism along these regions by providing sustainable business opportunities to local producers as well as by exchanging commercial experiences,” the regional governor noted.

Arista continued, “The Expo Amazonica 2014 fair will place our region on the world’s spotlight as domestic and international media will cover the event”.

The 2014’s fair will be carried out by the Amazonas’ Regional Government and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), while private enterprises and public entities are expected to be actively involved at the trade forum as sponsors.
