Squash player Diego Elias managed to defeat Mexico's Cesar Salazar on Sunday after he retired from the game.
The Peruvian athlete lost the first two sets (7-11) and (8-11). Nonetheless, he regained control in the third to win it 11-5. Later the Mexican would retire. This allowed the Peruvian to take the 4th and 5th sets leading to a concluding 3-RET.
Thus, Elias qualified for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games finals. On Monday, he will face Colombia's Miguel Rodriguez.
