Peru’s Culture Minister, Luis Peirano, will travel to Quito, Ecuador, on March 17-18 to attend the Third Culture Ministers’ Meeting of the Andean Council aimed at revising actions in favour of this sector in the region.
The gathering will review and monitor the actions which are being developed within the framework of the Andean committees of culture industries, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, and the fight against illicit trafficking in cultural property.
The ministers will also announce the “Andean window”, which is a fund for the promotion of eight documentaries for television channels from the Andean countries.
Minister Peirano’s trip has been authorized by a supreme resolution published in the official gazette El Peruano.
