Peru's Central Reserve Bank (BCR) was ranked the best among Americas' top issuing entities, according to Global Finance Magazine.

In order to grant this rating, it tends to assess management effectiveness aimed at maintaining a stable inflation, along with macroeconomic results and the behaviors of exchange and interest rates.

This result is a recognition to the monetary policy implemented by BCR.

The prize was received by the BCR's Vice Chairman Luis Alberto Arias during a ceremony held within the framework of the Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the WBG/IMF.

Besides presenting reports and statistical data of 192 countries, the New York-based Global Finance magazine is also distinguished due to the elaboration of several performance rankings.

This evaluation has been carried out since 1994.
