The investment in water and sanitation systems enhancement has tripled during the current administration, Peru's Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) Minister Francisco Dumler reported on Wednesday.
It allowed to finance a total of 1,992 projects worth over S/.8.429 billion (about US$2.516 billion) aimed to streamline national coverage.
Thus, water, sewage and waste water treatment systems were enhanced, Construction and Sanitation Deputy Minister Juan Haro indicated.
