Peru's private investment promotion agency, Proinversion, is set to carry out a three-day road show in Canada in a bid to promote opportunities for Canadian investors in a number of infrastructure projects and sectors with great potential.

The road show, which will run under the headline "Peru: Endless Investment Opportunities" is scheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada from September 2-4 and is expected to be attended by potential international investors.

This event seeks to showcase the highest profile projects in Proinversion's portfolio, in sectors such as land transportation, energy, sanitation, penal facilities, mining and telecommunication.

The keynote speaker will be ProInversion Executive Director, Carlos Herrera, who will address the processes involving public-private partnerships (PPPs) in the Andean nation.

In the last two decades, Peru has experienced a rapidly expanding economy and is consolidating as an attractive investment destination, becoming the best performing economy in Latin America.

The South American nation has shown the highest annual GDP growth rate (6.4%) and lowest annual inflation (2.8%) in the last decade due to the implementation of a responsible and solid commercial and economic policy.

Likewise, it is worth noting that Peru welcomes foreign investment through a friendly, stable and predictable legal framework.

Besides, it offers preferential access to a market of over 3.5 billion people through its network of trade agreements, attracting more than US$85 billion in foreign investment in the last two decades.
