Peru to launch competition for 6 trade offices abroad

Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) announced Sunday that will call for competition to choose the trade advisors of six Peruvian Trade Offices Abroad (Ocex) in the world’s largest cities.
Jorge Urbina, Ocex coordinator, noted the next public contest will be applied for Trade Offices in cities such as Mexico city (Mexico), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Hamburg (Germany), Jakarta (Indonesia), Pretoria (South Africa), Caracas (Venezuela), Istanbul (Turkey), and Geneva (Switzerland).

He added that it is under assessment if in the same call would be included the councilors’ vacancies for the Trade Offices of London (England), Milan (Italy) and Moscow (Russia).

"We will evaluate if we launch the call for other 12 Trade Offices, maybe it can happen in February or March, but in the first quarter we have the process which have been announced," Urbina said to Andina news agency.

He explained that at the end of 2013, the 31 commercial councils planned for this year will be established due to the competition has attracted the interest from high-trained professionals and good applications have been received.
