Peru's Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) will participate in the Regional Commission meeting for the Americas of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) to be held in Santiago, Chile, on July 18, 2013.
The meeting aims to address a core regional topic entitled "Tourism and Human Capital" in order to promote the knowledge exchange and to determinate common work guidelines in the said issue for the coming years.

The conference is organized by the WTO Regional Commission for the Americas, which is currently headed by Costa Rica while the deputy presidency is holder by Peru together with Bahamas.

Thus, Mincetur's attendance to the event is considered of the main importance as it will help consolidate Peru's image in terms of tourism.

Amora Carbajal, national director of tourism at Mincetur, will take part in the meeting on behalf of the state agency.

The World Tourism Organization (WTO) is the leading international organization in the field of travel and tourism. It serves as a global forum for tourism policy issues and a practical source of tourism know-how and statistics.
