Peru to attend AFI Global Policy Forum in Malaysia

Peru's Superintendence of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Funds (SBS) will participate in the Alliance for Financial Inclusion's 2013 Global Policy Forum (GPF), to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 10-12 September, 2013.
The annual forum is organized by the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) together with the Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) which this year will highlight the overall theme of Driving policies for optimal impact .

The said event is the world’s largest and most significant annual meeting on financial inclusion policy issues, with senior policymakers from more than 100 developing and emerging country institutions taking part.   

Thus, the three-day forum aims to discuss and review core topics related to the interrelation between of financial inclusion, stability and integrity as well as consumer protection.

Furthermore, this year's edition of the forum will be focus on the opportunities and challenges in the optimization of rules and policies which promote the further development of these initiatives.

The SBS is an AFI official member, whose role is to provide its members with the tools and resources to promote the application of the more appropriate financial inclusion policies in their respective countries.
