Peru’s Maria Paula Buzaglo and Valentina Shevchenko won gold medals in the 57- and 60-kilogram categories, respectively, at the Muay Thai IFMA World Cup 2015 held in Thailand.

Buzaglo, trained by former Team F-14 fighter Rodrigo Jorquera, defeated Jacinth Pascua from New Zealand at the grand finale.

Shevchenko also beat her competitor, but couldn't participate at the finale due to a lesion she suffered. She grabbed silver as Micheas Essenwanger.

Peruvians Gabriel Mazzetti and Marco Ccanto won bronze medals.

The Peruvian Muaythai Federation was one of the 100 delegations at this tournament, which brought together more than 2,500 competitors among men and women.
