Peru's southern city of Tacna expects to welcome close to 60,000 visitors on the occasion of its 87th reincorporation anniversary.

As is known, the metropolis was reincorporated into Peruvian territory in 1929.

Tacna's International Fair (Feritac) will host thousands of national and international tourists thru August 28, its main Anniversary day.

"Tourists are likely to attend Feritac and official activities, such as the traditional Peruvian flag parade," the region's Chamber of Tourism President David Rondon projected.

On this occasion, Feritac crafted a 10-day program including contests, festivals, livestock exhibition, health campaigns, concerts and traditional, as well as entertainment activities.

Chile

Many Chilean visitors tend to arrive in the city at the beginning of the week (5,000). However, the figure increases to 12,000 by August 28.
