Peru surfing's rising star at ASP World Championships

Peru’s talented surfer Miguel Tudela became the first South American to qualify for the upcoming Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Junior Championships, to be held in Ericeira, Portugal.

The Peruvian rider achieved the second spot at the North Shore Surf Shop Pro Junior in Oahu island, Hawaii, United States, on the second event of the ASP Men's Junior Tour.

Tudela’s scored an amazing two-wave total of 17 points out of possible 20 at the above-mentioned event which was staged at Oahu’s Pipeline beach-

The ASP World Junior Championships in Ericeira is the most prestigious world under-20 title for aspiring surfer professionals. Thus, Tudela will be taking part at the tournament from October 25 through November 2. 

The finished ranking is as follows: Parker Coffin (USA), Cam Richards (USA), Kaito Kino (HAW), Joshua Burke (BAR), Miguel Tudela (PER), Noah Schweizer (USA), Jake Marshall (USA) and Seth Moniz (HAW).
